The Master Cleanse, also known as The Lemonade Cleanse, has been around for about 70 years. Basically, you live on a mixture of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper and water for ten days. This formula has all the nutrients you need and still be able to function. It’s my personal favorite.
I do the Master Cleanse once or twice a year. I have been doing this for the past 8 years. Some of those cleanses have been easier than others on many levels. Sometimes it’s the cravings, sometimes it’s the hunger and sometimes it’s the emotions that come up during the cleanse.
I am on day 9 of my cleanse and have to say that this one has been the easiest of all of them. The cravings have been very minimal and I feel great physically and mentally. I don’t think as much weight has come off this time and that may be because I am doing it earlier in the year than my past cleanses. And one of the reasons that it is easier may be that I am indoors more and there is less socializing going on thus less temptation.
But I think the most important reason that it is going so smoothly is the fact that I pay much more attention to my thoughts now than I used to. Paying attention to your thoughts, by being aware of your feelings is the most powerful way to create smoothly.
I have always cleansed for ten days and I think this time I am going to do it for a few days more. I will let my body tell me when to end this time, not my mind. Every cell in your body has consciousness and is in communication with you if you pay attention.
Happy Spring!
Hey Fred,
Where do you get your Grade B Maple syrup in Chicago?
Thanks!
Jennifer
