How do you get out of the loop that you allow your mind to keep you in?
I recently went through a phase where I got myself into one of those loops and it felt big and I could not shift my thoughts out of it. I think we have all been there at some point in our lives. For me, I felt like a two headed monster! I was submerged in those negative thoughts (and for me the big issue is worthiness) and at the same time, I was observing those thoughts thinking how much I understand the Law of Vibration and the necessity to shift them. To make it more interesting, I added self abuse thoughts like “I should know better” and “How can I teach this material when I can’t even get out of this with all I know”!
In the past when I found myself in one of these thought loops, the only thing that seemed to help me shift would be when some other big or bigger incident happen to take my attention away. You know the fastest way to help your finger that hurts is to stub your toe!!!
For the past months, I have been asking numerous questions about the subconscious mind and where in the body is the key to it. When I asked that question, a huge heart shaped rock appeared on the beach that I visit everyday. And I was told that I should use this rock with my clients and placed it under the table I use with clients.
When I was thinking about the upcoming Abraham-Hicks workshop, which they call The Art of Allowing workshop, it came out of my mind as The Heart of Allowing workshop and understood at that point that the heart was the key to allowing.
At a recent Matrix Energetics workshop, the process that is used all the time is to find two points on the body that feel different, and then drop your awareness from your mind down to the heart. That is the point where the process would work.
When I was stuck in this loop, I finally did some meditation (I know it’s hard to do when you feel powerless!) and was told to bring my awareness to the heart. When I did this, something shifted, and the loop stopped. Every time I started to go back towards those thoughts, I would bring my awareness to my heart and I would not get into that loop.
After experiencing that, I received more information that brought greater understanding about the mind and the heart.
The mind is all about the Step 1 process that Abraham-Hicks talks about. That is the asking part of the equation. The mind is the problem creator. And that’s not a negative statement because without the problem or contrast, the solution wouldn’t be asked for. It’s so necessary, but needs to be in balance with the heart.
The heart is all about Step 3, which is the allowing part. It is the place where the solution is received from. It is the doorway to the mind of Source. The mind of Source is always looking from that broader perspective and will not focus on anything negative.
Next time you find yourself in a place that doesn’t seem to have an exit, shift your awareness to your heart and a new path will be found.
I’ve been caught in “the loop” for so long! I love your thought about making the shift to your heart. I tend to get all caught up in the “ask” phase, basically stuck in my own fearful “land of what-if” and second-guessing everything. It’s hell!
During the meeting last night (which was so helpful, by the way), I felt thunderstruck about mid-way through. The signs are here with astounding clarity, but I’ve been adhering to the path I thought I should take rather than really and truly embracing the path I’m being shown.
I had an opportunity this morning to meditate and do some journaling on “how is this working”. I have an unbelievably great list of what is working, and I’m so excited about each and every item. I can already feel a huge shift, and the consciousness of trying to have the “what’s working” loop begin playing.
Thank you. It’s such a pleasure to discover you and the work you are doing!
