I am not going willingly!

At a recent Abraham workshop, Abraham defined negative emotion using the following conversation that you could have with someone.  It was funny and insightful!

“Negative emotions means that I am not going willingly.”

“Not going willingly where?”

“Downstream (see my page about the logo)!”

“What?”

“Downstream…where everything I want is!”

“Why aren’t you going?”

Even someone who doesn’t understand The Law of Attraction would ask “If everything you want is downstream then why aren’t you going?” And the answer is that most of us are taught at a very young age to jump into the stream and swim real hard upstream. Once you understand that everything you want is downstream, it seems crazy that you would try to go upstream! If you can stop the resistance and “go willingly”, your desires will begin to appear. When I experience negative emotion now, I remember this discussion about not going willingly, chuckle and let go of the resistance.
