The Path

I saw the most beautiful sunrise over Lake Michigan this morning!

I often see the sunrise, but the colors and the flat water were exceptional today.  I was walking my dog, Akiba, and watching the sun come up. We walked behind an area where there were some large boulders.  I could see the sun, which had risen above the boulders, and part of this narrow path of light on the water.  But, I couldn’t see this path of light completely.  It was amazingly stunning over the flat water and I wanted to line up with it.  So, I quickly walked past the boulders hoping that when I got around them I would sill be in line with this amazing ray of light.  When I was on the other side of the boulders, I still was in complete alignment with this ray of light.  In fact, as I continued to walk, I would remain in complete alignment with the ray.

This made me realize a few things.  We are always on “the path”!  No matter how it looks or where we are, we are always moving along “the path”.  And when obstacles appear, it doesn’t mean that we are off “the path”.  It just means that we cannot see “the path” completely.  But rest assured, we are still there!  If you look past the obstacles, you can still see the way to the Sun or Source.  And if you move a bit (shift your perspective) the path becomes much clearer.

Not bad for one sunrise, eh?  That’s one check mark on the list of miracles that I ALLOWED myself to receive today!

How does it get better than this?

The Heart of Allowing!

How do you get out of the loop that you allow your mind to keep you in?

I recently went through a phase where I got myself into one of those loops and it felt big and I could not shift my thoughts out of it.  I think we have all been there at some point in our lives.  For me, I felt like a two headed monster!  I was submerged in those negative thoughts (and for me the big issue is worthiness) and at the same time, I was observing those thoughts thinking how much I understand the Law of Vibration and the necessity to shift them.  To make it more interesting, I added self abuse thoughts like “I should know better” and “How can I teach this material when I can’t even get out of this with all I know”!

In the past when I found myself in one of these thought loops, the only thing that seemed to help me shift would be when some other big or bigger incident happen to take my attention away.  You know the fastest way to help your finger that hurts is to stub your toe!!! Read on …
