I recently had an amazing experience with a back/hip “problem” that I would like to share with you.
For almost three weeks there was significant pain in my lower back and hip. The root cause of all of our issues comes from our focus on the past or future. Knowing this, I immediately asked the universe what was right about this. What came to me went back to the time of my birth and I instantly felt much shifting and relief in my back.
However, for almost three weeks the pain persisted. I was shown that going to see a friend of mine who is a chiropractor would expedite my recovery. And the couple of times that I went, I found relief. Also, the chiropractor offered me her space to facilitate my monthly meetings. That was another gift that we are often not aware of that comes with the way life shows up. We believe life should show up a particular way and when it doesn’t, we think something is wrong. Another gift was a re-connection with a friend of mine who offered to help me.
But the pain was still there, making it difficult to practice Bikram yoga, which I attempt to do daily. And it seemed like there was progress some days and other days I could hardly get into the postures without pain. Yesterday, I hardly could do anything all day because of the persistent pain.
So this morning I almost blew off yoga, but decided to do it knowing that I was going to the chiropractor later and she could straighten out whatever was happening physically. I went into the yoga session thinking that I would do whatever I could instead of thinking about how I was yesterday unable to do almost anything. That shift from thinking about the past to just being in the Present was the huge gift from the universe! I had the best yoga in over three weeks and the pain was gone!
Are you interpreting your life based on how it was in the past or what is actually here Now? This was a great reminder for me. This dramatic shift in six hours was only possible by not looking back but by focusing on what is present now. Your body is a reflection of your mind. Anything that shows up in your body is an indicator to you of your thinking. It is an opportunity to allow for a different outcome.
By not pushing away the pain, staying present and allowing to experience what shows up can be life changing.
